| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents Smith pled guilty on 06/22/2007 in King County Superior Court to one count of Felony Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes. He additionally pled guilty to one count of Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes as a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to three months in county jail. These convictions were the result of Smith having inappropriate sexual conversations via the internet with minor aged females. Smith initially had contact with an unknown teenage female via the internet. When the conversation turned sexual she told her father who contacted authorities. Smith then had contact via the internet with unknown 13 and 14 year old females. These conversations immediately turned sexual and inappropriate on Smith?s part and continued after he knew their ages. The victims were actually undercover detectives investigating internet crimes against children and their investigation resulted in Smith?s arrest.
