| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents Nguyen pled guilty in Los Angeles County Superior Court on 02/16/1996 to the crimes of Lewd or Lascivious acts Upon a Child, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child and Oral Copulation of a Child Under 16 Years. He was sentenced to 13 years 8 months in prison. This sentence included a five year enhancement for Prior Convictions of Serious or Violent Felonies. Nguyen used his position as a badminton coach to form relationships with teenage males and then sexually assault them during 1991. The victims in these incidents were a known 13 year old male, and two known 15 year old males. On 03/26/1985 Nguyen pled guilty in Orange County Superior Court to two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a Child under the age of 14. He was sentenced to 180 days in county jail and 5 years of probation. Nguyen sexually assaulted a known 12 year old male. There is no record of Nguyen participating in any prior Sex Offender Treatment Program prior to his current release from custody.
