| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents, Ackerman pled guilty to the crime of Rape of a Child in the 3rd degree on February 10, 2011 and was given a term of 20 months in prison. The victim in his crime was 14 years of age and was sexually assaulted by Ackerman several times between October and November of 2010. Ackerman temporarily resided with the victim and her mother, with whom Ackerman had been in a relationship. The victim reports that she began having a relationship with Ackerman which started with them kissing each other. Sexual contact progressed and when the victim would tell Ackerman that she did not want sex, he would threaten her. The victim reported to police that that she was afraid of Ackerman, especially when he was under the influence of drugs. Ackerman was not able to attend treatment in the prison system as he did not have enough time to complete the program. Ackerman will be on active supervision with the Everett Office of the Department of Corrections. 425-290-3200. Shall enter into and successfully participate in sex offender treatment. Shall have no contact with minors. Shall have no direct or indirect contact with any victim. Shall not enter parks, playgrounds or schools. Shall not purchase, own, have in his possession or under his control any firearm. Shall not purchase, use, possess any mood altering substances, such as Spice . Shall not stay overnight in a residence where there are minor children without the express, prior approval of his therapist and Community Corrections Officer. Shall not use or possess explicit material in any form. Shall not use, possess, consume any controlled substances without a lawfully issued prescription. Shall not use, possess, purchase or consume alcohol. Shall not work at or be in places frequented by minors. |
